Learn to Bowl
Learn to Bowl is a complete Phys. Ed. program, developed by Bowl Canada to meet and exceed Ontario Curriculum Expectations. With support from Canadian Heritage and Sport Canada, we hope to bring the game of 5-pin bowling to a whole new generation of players!
Why Learn to Bowl?
• Teaches and reinforces fundamental movement skills
• Includes in-class lesson material for students of all ages
• Bowling is a lifetime sport that promotes continued physical activity
• Easy to learn but challenging to master
• Everyone participates equally thanks to the handicap system
• Encourages team playing and good sportsmanship
• No equipment needs to be purchased
• FUN
Learn to Bowl teaches students of any age the basics of 5-pin bowling. The program includes content for in-school lessons, as well as 3 or 5 visits to our centre for hands-on experience. A coach, certified through the National Coaching Certification Program, will be on-hand for each visit. Upon completion, every student receives an Achievement Card with coupons for 5 free games of bowling over next summer and $5.00 off registration with Youth Bowling Canada.
